Wahoo elemnt at a good price
There are really 2 camps for GPS unit Garmin people like Garmin's and wahoo users like wahoo's , pros and cons for both . I've only ever used wahoo and would not change

You can get really cheap Wahoo Bolts from Facebook Market place and ebay. The last one I got was £40 and is excellent. I also have a Garmin 1030 and Karoo2. But much prefer the Wahoo Bolt.

Wahoo elemnt Roam is c£180 for the previous version & would get my money if upgrading. I've been using the Bolt V1 for 5 years & it's been very good. The wahoo companion app is very good for setting up on a bigger touch screen enviroment of your phone.

Garmin Edge 530 is currently £193.97 on Amazon
Last Black Friday however it dropped to around £160. It's possible it will drop again.

Have both, definitely the Wahoo is easier to use. The Garmin's user interface is plainly written by a computer geek without any thought to making it easy to use.

I saw this earlier. is this the entry level elemnt? it does look like it will have the features that I'll need.

It might be version 1 not 2 as it doesn't mention a colour screen , for what's it's worth I've been running a wahoo bolt with just black and white screen and can't see a reason to change , it will give you full mapping of Europe , full ride data speed ,average mph ,ft climbed with programable pages to display what info you want where you want it .
It might not have all the features of the version 2 but for a basic cycling computer it's more than adequate
Edit , you will need a smart phone and the app to set it up
