Best way to find cycling buddies?

When I moved to Lincolnshire and decided to get back into cycling I joined a club along with my 15 year old son, that gave me an instant 100 cycling buddies, within a year many more were added to the list.

A lot of these great people are still our friends nearly 30 years on.

Have a look on Facebook there's a few groups on there that I'm in (local to me) could be worth looking at

Ride, talk to people you meet.

This. Ride for 20 miles in the countryside on any weekend in the spring or summer and each pub you pass will have cyclists pausing for a drink. Say hi, and I bet they'll invite you to join them. It's how I found my social group, and it was entirely unplanned... usually the best way.

You could search online and see if you can find some kind of fun and friendly cycling community ...




(I have ridden with over 200 fellow CycleChat members over the past 9.5 years and there have only been 2 or 3 that I wouldn't want to meet again.)
