Bianchi -is it "bog standard"

They made plenty of 'bread and butter' models .looks like one of those so not very special. I bought a similar one down here. Campag chainset and derailleur but cheap brakes which is a bit odd. Nice enough but I'd say its over priced.

Yes l think you are right, even the Campag derailleur is very basic. I might make a "don't want to know offer" and see what happens

I looked at a similar Bianchi over the weekend and again it was a basic one which I left for that reason, even at £50.

Looks quite simple to me.

Hmmm that was my home territory more years ago than l will admit to and lm not going back even for a very nice Chromovelato Bianchi !

I don't think it qualifies as a Bianchi unless its painted "Celeste". Just saying

It looks like the fuel priming system on a veteran vehicle ... Itala or the like. What's the Italian equivalent of Heath Robinson?

1906 Bianchi 7.4 litre 70 mph. Not Heath Robinson at all, a mobile piece of art. The vials are to control oiling to the mechanical parts. I have a love hate relationship with it. I love the car but it's proving a real pain to work on.
