Triple gearing, useful if you live somewhere hilly

No idea, I avoid hills. Everyone says a triple is good for hills or wide ratios like the SRAM. I just grind up hills or walk

You want the lowest number for the front chainring and the highest for the cassette.

Funny how everybody has different tastes, isn't it?

For me - Shimano is head and shoulders above the Campag equivalent. SRAM sits somewhere between the two.

On a higher pedestal, podium stylee (i.e. it is the best )
