+1 to dustybins comment...judge it well but if all biblongs in the wash then look at your alternatives

There's no simple answer to that. It would depend how long you planned to ride for, how cold it was and how susceptible you were to the elements in the first place.
Most of my rides are a half hour/ 7 mile commute... early morning then early evening back and if I'm not feeling under the weather I'm normally pretty good in the cold

IMHO getting your club colours out there legs looked after is more important. Winter races are not a fashion show. Get warm and stay warm.

Having said that, shorts only for us hard cross boys. :becool:

I did some early season crits this year where the windchill took the temp down to about -7deg. A cheap pair of Altura leg warmers under a pair of club shorts did the job fine.
I have two bibs and a pair of bib tights, but with racing Saturday followed by the training ride Sunday I'd be washing them all the time, plus in my eyes it looks better racing in full club kit.
Looks like wiggle is getting a bashing again today.

Top tip - when you get home, just hang your kit over the radiator to dry out. Good to go again in the morning.
Yep. I change close fitting stuff like baselayers but otherwise this ^ It would cost us a fortune in electricity and Daz if it was any other way ;)

I also have 3 pairs of shoes so if I end up with water ingress they can take all the time they need to dry. But that's an extreme
