These blocky old houses with their bold primary colours create a graphic poster-like image, not unlike a woodcut, that appealed to me. I waited until a morning when shafts of sunshine we’re coming up the road to create the right shadows and enhance the effect I wanted. I hope you like it.
A vintage feel for this morning’s ride along the old fashioned Edwardian seafront here on Hastings. I love the checkerboard pattern on the promenade and wanted to do something with it photographically.
