big bike shops (up north)

you see lots of question on cyclechat about which bike i should buy but im not really sure what type of bike i want ( racer/tourer/cyclocross). im looking for a shop with a vast selection of bikes where you can perhaps try before you buy and get advice on bike fitting

You'll probably still find that the various shops will stock different brands and none will stock all brands.

I believe either Specialised or Trek only permit 1 dealer per town.

Having said that, most LBS should at least have a range of different types of bikes (racer/tourer/cyclocross) for you to consider before you get to the trial stage.

Once you have chosen your type of bike, get on CC, do a Search and read !

There is a massive new bike shop on the A6 heading out of Hazel Grove towards Disley. Think it is called Sportive Nation. Tbh it is so big I nearly crashed my bike when I first cycled past it.
