if a suspension seat-post is set correctly it will NOT go up and down when you ride but WILL absorb the shocks from the big ruts in the road.:bravo:

Really? They make them with platform valving now?

no, but you have the ability to set the strength of the spring inside. with a bit of trial and error you can set it up so it's really very stiff and there fore wont bounce when you peddle but not as stiff as a normal seat post and there fore it WILL give slightly when you hit the big ruts and take the shock out of them.

if you want to bounce when you pedal then set it to a softer setting, simple as that.

instead of having a soft saddle you can stick with your normal road saddle and have a seat post with a bit of give, trust me, it works :bravo:

My Spesh Globe came with a Sus seatpost... caused havoc with my knees and I swapped it out for a 15 quid rigid one after a couple of weeks. Job done!
