I want to send my old bike to my brother-in-law in Ireland, who hasn't got much money and would like a bike. Using the 'bid' site Shiply, I got a quote for only £38 from London to the west of Ireland from a company listed as "carpartdb".
This was based on a bike in a proper bike box weighing under 20kg total, and I thought it was super-reasonable, as I also had prices going up to over £200! (The bike ain't worth that!)
Just passing on the info for your interest. Shiply carry an eBay-type 'review' section, and although the company who quoted have some negative reviews, they have well over 90% positives, so seem fine for my purposes.
