Can anybody recommend any where around the Staines area that does bike fitting, I know most shops say they do but I mean a proper fit not just a test ride.
Thx.
Oh yeah and a rough price.

Hi,

I used a company called Pearsons in Sheen near Sutton for a geometry fit.

They also recommended a bike that fitted my riding style and reach etc

I brought the bike form them and my first ride was brilliant, no fussing with tweaks.

They will setup your own bike after a fit too.

Christ it ain't cheap lol, I just looked on the website.

Thx for the reply.

The bike company in Staines, said they do fitting and it's free if you buy a bike from them, but I think it just involves sitting on a bike and not much measurement.

There's a place in Staines called The Bike Shop that do bike fitting. Google it.
I've been in there a while ago, but tbh I didn't get much of a vibe from the place.

I know most of the shops local do it but that's my I asked can anyone recommend one.

No worries

It is pricy but you get about 2-3 hours worth and they do the works on you

I thought it was worth it but then I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a bike and find out the bike was no good for my frame

Hope you get what you want at the price you can afford

Most places that do a proper bike fit on a jig will knock some or all of the cost of a new bike. Even if they don't (and mine did), you can apply the printout to every bike you ride or buy - that alone saved me a fortune over the years from not buying the wrong length stem etc, let alone hours farting about with multi-variables of saddle and bar position.

I got money taken off my bike after my fit so actually made the fit really inexpensive

As for reach, stem length and saddle position, I was able to get within 5mm on a stock frame of my stem length

I've used a couple of places within a ride from you for bike fit. Which one I would reccomend would depend upon how deep your pockets are

Sigma Sports in Hampton (BG Fit)
Ruslip Concept Store (BG Fit)
Freespeed Acton (Retul Bike Fit)

If you fancy a day trip to Ealing...................... the Bike Whisperer gets my vote. You get about 3 hours with lots of tweaks, a husband and wife team working out of their home, coffee and a friendly dog called Fettle ^_^

I fully admit to being highly, possibly unreasonably, biased towards them and was pointed in their direction by the good folk of LFGSS.
