My 23mm bike went to bed for today's commute but the roads look clear now and after skating a few times on the footways beside, I'll be back on the bike tomorrow.

Sorry folks for being a wuss.... but I've put the bike away for a few days as I'm 700c x 23 I know I should have got some winter tyres but never got round to it, I will be back to the bike as soon as the snow warnings subside, I did get the bike out the shed this morning but decided against the bike commute at the last moment when I saw a few flakes of snow.

I'm with you, I don't do snow and ice and my stable of bikes are currently enjoying a rest.

I should say looking outside i probably would chance it but swmbo has put her foot down and a guy from work has offered a lift .I know what side bread is buttered ......

She was put away on Sunday but today she came out and I loved it.

I used the 'tank' today and it was quite enjoyable. Had to de-bike before turning onto my close as it was a skating rink.

Back on the bike tomorrow and the bike is book in to have the Shimano brake shifters fitted that arrived today off ebay (see well chuffed post) Happy Days

I've been back on my bike since Tuesday. Yesterday cycling home in the sleet wasn't nice but worth it. I still have a bruised rib from one of my 'ground interface events'. Hopefully with the rise in temperature next week I will get my Triban 3 out of the shed as well.
