No, them riding like that can be seen as cool.
You smacking one of them because you dont like how they are riding is uncool. It would be like someone in a car driving along, not liking how you are riding and smacking you.
Errr, not quite. If I was one of the peds on a crossing that they weaved through I would have no qualms about taking them off their bike. In your scenario the driver just dislikes the riding style, but (I'm assuming) it's not putting him/her in danger like these muppets are when they travel at speed through crowds and traffic.

My god! I've never seen these types of videos before of mass stupidity! I know I see it like this and that we all moan at bad car/taxi/wvm drivers, cutting you up, close calls, bad etique, a danger to us all etc and in turn giving good car/taxi/wvm drivers bad names, and I see these numptys and class them the same. Their one act tars us all! And hey, skill? Give me a cheap frame and wheels and I could do the same! And am sure most on here could ride like dickheads too and get away with it! Its not skill, its a liability!

+1, If they came at me I'd defend myself. I wouldn't start punching them after though or anything stupid like that.

Some of the gaps they're happy to go down...jeeez...I'd be shouting blue murder if anyone came that close to me ;)

i dont know about those bags. I know a lot of people use them, but i dont know how stable or secure they are on your back, and if they should slip off your sholder or back, then your in a lot of trouble. I prefer a ruck sack. If anyone does use them and knows if they infact good, plesae post.

I reviewed the Timbuk2 medium in the reviews section here. http://www.cyclechat.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=19915

IME, they're ok for a fairly upright riding position - if you're in the drops, they're not as good as a rucksack though, I think.

Most of these guys have truely great bike handling skills.

But the fact that they are also total bell ends takes all that away from them.

Shame on them.

I don't see much skill, just a lot of luck. And that will run out sooner rather than later.

Lets hope they just hurt them self not somebody else....

This sums it up for me. They should be shunned for being complete and utter tossers, their bike handling skills pale in comparison to the fact that they are massive peanuts.

Can anyone identify what type of bikes they're using, I presume most of them are fixies but what type as they seem particuarly agile when compared to my straight up road bike.

I'd like something like that for pissing around on.

As for the video, I loved it, it's a bit crazy but who cares, it's fine for motorists to brake the speed limit, cut us up and generally behave like loons so i've got no problem with it.

I'd have a crack skill permitting.

I remember commenting on this last year, thats not really bothered this time.

Anyway  i think i still feel like i did then in that yes they are pretty amazing and brave or maybe confident in what they do. maybe they are all on drugs lol. There is no way I could do that and i do take my hat off to them. I would love to be able to do some of the stuff on the vid.

On the other hand a lot of it seems pretty dam dangerous, not only to themselves but to other people, be the ped's or other road users. outright crazy. I would like to know the injury stats on curriors.

Would also like to point out, which i dont think anyone else has picked up on, is the nasty black cab driver who tries to drive into the cyclists. its teh cabs right of way crossing the road, but on seeing them, instead of waiting for the crazyees to go through the gap between him and the car infront, he tries to get as close as poss to close the gab and nearly squash a currier.

As a ped I dont like it when i am crossing the road on a green man, and they come whizzing past, gets right on my tits. (not just curriers but other bikes too).

Theres a bit where they nearly take out an old dear in an alley way later in that vid. So not cool.

If they want to ride like that they should set up a private track or get a mtb and do it away from pedestrians and motorists. People see them and they see all of us.

I was looking at the bikes and I think they are single speed I do see some of them free wheeling occasionally.

Has anyone mentioned there seems to be a police car pulling out when they are going down the wrong side of the road earlier on in the vid.!!

Crazy feckers the lot of them.

It's pretty easy to do this kind of thing without putting pedestrians in danger. FWIW, I think it's some pretty cool riding, but they could have avoided the peds a bit better...

It's not actually cool though is it?

Do these guys actually film when they have an accident because lets face it if you ride like that you can't get away with it forever.

I saw the police too and I am surprised the police didn't do anything tbh.
