Which is such a shame; that is when used clothes, bicycles, community shops and support are most needed.

I just donated my old Cyclocross bike to an affordable bike community project in Gatehouse Of Fleet, Dumfries & Galloway. It’s an excellent project, staffed by volunteers and has an excellent cafe next door.

Anyone in the know, will recognise Gatehouse Of Fleet as the host of the annual ‘Gralloch’ gravel riding event, which is taking place as I type.

Thanks, I've added it to the map. I only moved to D&G a year ago & haven't ventured that far west yet. I'll look out for it when I get there.

Thanks Anne, I’ve been here six years and quickly found there’s some fantastic cycling to be had over this way.

I've yet to visit as I suspect I'd not be coming away empty handed.....
