Afternoon all
My daughter has a white plastic bike saddle but the dye from her jeans transfers on to it and it’s a nightmare to clean off and since she’s pretty much riding everyday it’s getting tedious!! 😂
I’m thinking if either covering it in fablon? Or a piece of faux leather material?
Something that is easier to wipe clean.
What do you guys suggest?
thank you 😊

Cif then. If she’s so stuck on white, get her to clean it
She does clean it , she spends time giving it a little tidy up after each ride bless her she loves it.
Yeah tried cif , pink stuff , baking powder paste and washing up liquid it comes up slightly better it’s really ingrained.
Anyway thanks for the advice 😊

mm - tricky one.

I'd say vickster's first advice is the logical one but we are clearly dealing with an early fashion victim here.

I wouldn't advise covering a saddle with anything for basic functional/comfort/behind health reasons.

Wear white jeans?

But in itself a bad idea.

As many thinks white are.

Re-education camp?

Get her to cherish total colour co-ordination between clothes and bike.

Though that could lead to massive problems down the line.

Ask her what her solution is?

she may decide that a white saddle is a bad idea after all.

I think she’d actually prefer a white brookes saddle (or similar) as they’re easier to keep clean and slightly more comfortable compared to the hard plastic one she’s currently got , we shall see how it pans out 😊
