Only partially true, there, 3BM. I am an accountant but by choice, not by design. I'm the accountant who argues for people to spend more money. I'm the accountant who argues to increase the sales and ops headcount. I'm the accountant who ignores small debts because they aren't worth chasing, who has a 100% staff retention because I create a working environment that people want to transfer into, who is asked about software design and system management and project controls because the one thing that I really despise in life is bloody accountants.

I'm the accountant who is actually a project manager with a specialism in finance.

Chapman's idea was to make one thing do two things. A mix of design and engineering excellence has it's own inherent beauty which is independent of the eye of the beholder. Good design enhances the product by increasing its practicality and adding beauty, not by showing off how long the designer spent masturbating furiously whilst looking at his sketches.

IMO.

None of them really work for me but at least some effort has been put into them... I rate them in the following order:
Atmos
Quinn Architecture
Studio Meda/Dream Studio (I can't split these 2)
Tughela Gino

I'm not voting - I think they are all horrible and obviously not designed by urban cyclists.

5 Rules for designing a bike shed in order

Secure
Sheltered
Safe
Somewhere secure to put your stuff
Showers

With the possible exception of number 2 none of them meet minimum spec.

The 6th rule is you need to get you bike in and out with the need to touch others. We have all had minor damage caused by overcrowded bike parking farce-ilities

If they want to look at design, a 'Boris Bike' park with a roof would be the place to start
