Bike tools used for other purposes

The only bike tools are things like bottom bracket and cassette sockets, plus maybe tyre levers and chain tools. All else are just tools and if you buy the ones labelled as bike tools, they're more expensive and bizarrely often heavier!

Not bike tool specific, but anyway...
If you get a puncture on the way to the pub, your riding companion will lend you a head torch.
If you get a visitation after the pub, your companion will use said head torch to arse about pretending to be a Dalek.

A presta valve cover is ideal for adding dimples to a golf ball.

Control of their speed & distance they can be hit. The dimples smooth out the airflow, enabling a dimpled ball to travel faster than a smooth ball of the same size/weight.

Aerodynamics. Plus they make a pleasant swishing sound when they whizz close to your head.

It is very specific and there are rules as to how many dimples a ball can have.

So tampering with golf balls by using presta valves to put more vents in is on a par(excuse the pun)with ball tampering in cricket?

My dishwasher turned itself off again last night. Rather than un-plumb it so I can strip it down again, I think I'll just disconnect the waste and attach the bike pump again. And then hit it with a chain whip.

Olde fashioned frame mounted pumps are ideal for whacking attacking dogs across the nose. The rare aluminium pumps make an especially nice thwack.

Unfortunately sometimes they are useless for pumping afterwards.
