Pootle in mtb terms is a specific kind of ride where the rules are
If you're at the front, you hold the gate open
If you're at the back you have.to.talk to the other twenty riders at the back with you
No one gets dropped. Ever.

We tend to bimble when on the motorboke but pootle in the car. Both being the ssme thing.
On the bikes its a meander

I'm not sure how to classify my ride today. After picking the bike up I was goinh to pootle to the flat, then after a bimble up the cycle path after stopping into a shop, I decided I'd head to Glinton-Marholm-flat, so it became a pootle again. Turned grey towards the end though, so it was a wee bit faster then than a pootle. :-/

At my age and lack of condition and depending on how I feel, I may go out for a waddle, wabble or gimpel

Off-topic, but when my bro-in-law takes the dog out for its last pee at night, it's called the "widdle waddle". Just love the word "waddle".
