Replacing most bike chains requires that a couple of links be removed. So what to do with the bits I remove? I don't like to throw them away. Then I came up with the idea of making them into a talking point when people come to visit. The links with the key ring is said to be an original fidget spinner, but I'm not sure about that. But it does work! You just need a magnetic tray to make them stand up. Eventually, if I live long enough, I'll have a chain forest . And if I remember correctly, SUMC chains are made by a former engineer for KMC chains. I don't know if they are still sold.

@Andy in Germany a bike themed Christmas tree would be so nice!
You should make a variety of bike themed Christmas tree ornaments to sell in the shop!

We made these and a few other bits and bobs when I worked on the refugee integration programme. Cleaning the chain was a right b*gg*r but in the new workshop I have a proper cleaning system so it may be a possibility...
