I was named after my uncle Dave.
Him and my dad fell out when I was approx 10.......they were both miserable contankerous b******s.
I only met him once after that and he refused to recognise me (he really held a grudge)
Uncle became wealthy.
He and my aunty Minnie had 2 volvos.
His reg was DS1 ... hers was MS1.
I have just seen DS1 for sale. Guess how much?
Go on..... a wild guess.

All cars registered in Argyll used to be prefixed by the letters SB. The Duke of Argyll held the number SB1 which the story goes Shirley Bassey offered him a cool one mill back in the day when that meant something, but he wouldn't sell.

There used to be a Ferrari 355 in Newport Parnell that had the registration G16OLO. That's dedication to the cause of trying to impress.

25 odd years ago in Sandwich there was a Porsche that had the plate, TUR13O with the 1 and 3 quite close to look like a B. That plate must still be around somewhere and presumably worth a mint.
