Can anybody advise on the following: -

I am looking to buy a Blackberry 9810 torch 2.

At work we have Exchange 2010 which I can get e-mails onto myAndroid phone with.

Will the Blackberry with OS 7 work with this type of e-mail system?

Sorry if this has been asked before but cannot find anyposts on the subject.

Many thanks in advance

John.

If you have a Blackberry, there are two ways of getting emails on to it from Exchange,
a) BES (Blackberry Enterprise server)
This will sit on a server (not the exchange server) on your domain. It will push emails to your Blackberry. For small companys (sub 100) the BESX (Blackberry Enterprise server Express) is free
b) BIS (Blackberry Internet service)
This will sit on an external server and you will need setup your OWA details on this. There will be a pull email service, however you will need to keep your domain password and your BIS password in sync

That's the trouble with Blackberry, why introduce an extra level that can go wrong...

The iphones in our organisation simply connect to our exchange, Blackberrys need BES and Exchange and also connect to RIM for everything to work OK. That's why every Blackberry suffered when the RIM service went down - wouldn't happen with iphone or Android phones....

I was (until now) a I Phone critic (all style etc.) BUT having set up the I Phone 4S and used it for a day...... Converted.... Nuff said....
