Am in need of a step-by-step guide to the current best practise process for linking my new vodafone bb to my work outlook over exchange) email in the absence of a BES

Erm, Ive setup one device before. I try and shy away from smartphones. More trouble than they are worth. I just fix servers

IIRC, you go here login and fill in the data.

I think you then get a text message and you can activate the service.

sorted. I was being defeated by a ' in my mailbox name which is... roll on drums... i'madullard

You can't have apostrophes in email addresses.

No indeed, but you can in exchange 2003 mailbox names. I eventually remembered changing mine to prove the point to about three years ago!
