I suppose I could tenuously link a photo of an award letter posted through my door last week....

Dear Homeowner
You have got the prettiest garden ever. For this reason we are giving you the prize of £1.30. We hope that you enjoy your prize. love, the secret person

Really beautiful! You've obviously got an eye for it, well done. It was our allotment show yesterday but I couldn't enter as we had visitors and I had to "entertain" them. (Shame as I had a second place in the sweetcorn category to defend). I also entered the flower bunch category last year but got nowhere, so your bunch has spurred me on for next year.
I sometimes entertain my guests by taking them to the Village show. It's amazing how many people have never been to one and they often can't believe such things still exist. They are always a joyful occasion in my village of Belittled-on-the-Weald.

That is BRILLIANT. And possibly slightly peculiar. I tell you though, compliments are nice.

It is a pretty tiny show in a fairly tiny village not far from Sissinghurst - I know you aren't far away from me!

But even if it's a tiny show I am stil pleased.
That's really pretty. Well done on your victory.:bravo:
I too like to stick the tall flowers at the back, it worked for my Mum and my Gran. I'm feeling inspired to go and pick some flowers from the garden and shove them into a vase, it won't look as nice as your arrangement though.
I'm glad to inspire you! The trick with my technique is to ram as many as you can into the vase, and that is quite a big vase, so just use something smaller for that feeling of abundance! That really is all. I did leave out a scarlet geranium which was a bit too scarlet. This time of year you often get more yellow and orange flowers but I don't have any, this makes my arrangement quite pink-purple-and-white heavy. There was another arrangement which got third prize which was very orange-yellow-and-red which was also lovely.
