Blue is the colour!

I had a test ride on an aluminium Cannondale Synapse with disc brakes last weekend. Nice, it was. The shopkeeper and I agreed it would be worth waiting for the Autumn to see how many bikes like that get the new Shimano hydraulic discs. With those and some mudguards I reckon you'd have almost the perfect winter bike.

And with a bit of commutering fettling, cycle computer, bottle cage and my hand built wheels added.

Still have to add some full mudguards.

I'm on holiday for a week so won't do it's maiden commute until next Monday week.

This is Alu, the Kona is CroMo.

Right, to be honest, the only thing I am a little bit disappointed in is that the finish is Matt. Would have preferred a gloss finish. But it still looks very smart.

Hard to tell from a picture sometimes. I saw a 931 Croix De Fer in the flesh today and it looks underwhelming in the pictures but stunning in the flesh. I love the shape of the rear stays and the shade of blue.

That was the same with the Kona. Pictures on the website just didn't do it justice. In the flesh so to speak, it's a beautiful looking bike.

That is a lovely shade of blue. Blue is my favourite colour, I'm looking forward to my blue frame turning up in the summer
