You see the same sort of things with cars. The first one squeaks through with just enough room to spare, but the second one, blindly following, causes a bit of a problem!!

Is there a cycle path on the other side of the road? It really annoys me when people cycle on the right when there are cycle paths on both sides of the road.

that happened to my friend, the guy who hit him just road off and my friend had to go to hospital, but luckily only concussion and a few cuts, if he wasn't wearing a helmet he could have been a lot worse off

I did a low speed collision on the cycle lane that runs along the Limehouse Cut, a bush obscured the corner and I smacked into a nurse on her bike. She was quite cute, I got a massive bruise on my arse. My LCC insurance paid for her new bike.

They both looked to be going at a decent pace. At those speeds it would be safer to use the road.

If I ever decide to use a cycle path it would be because I was going slowly, especially near peds at a bus stop.

Just proves, as I have long suspected, that there are idiots on bikes as well as driving vehicles. The approaching cyclists were travelling too fast. The 2nd on the wrong side of the path riding into the camera cyclist who was on the left edge of the cycle path. The approaching cyclists should definitely have slowed as they passed those people standing at the bus stop .

I think he did and skidded, so let the brake off again. You can see the back wheel go out sideways, just before his foot comes off the pedal.

With a bus stop and pedestrians; excessive speed; a wide line through the corner; poor sight-lines and a narrowing, two-way cycle lane, both riders were lucky to escape without serious injuries.
