Hi all,

I'm after some of the blue stuff (liquid/gunk/goooo) whatever it is that helps to hold bolts etc and stops them going loose.

Whats this blue stuff called please?

Cheers

It's expensive superglue. I'm more a fan of locknuts or spring/shakeproof washers.

Loctite do a vast range of locking compounds. Make sure you use the right one. If you use one of their engineering adhesives to lock a thread, you'll need a gas torch to get it out. Actually, you'll probably melt the frame before you do.

Search for "low strength retainer" for threaded components......or use gloss paint or nail varnish.

Edit: whatever you decide, you really have to de-grease thoroughly. Use IPA.

Low strenght loctite is quite a good precaution on screws subject to vibration. There are various grades of loctite (other brands exist) and no doubt their website explains tbe grades but in essence low strength us to prevent shaking loose and high strength won't undo without oxy-acetylene. In between grades also exist
