I went with the blue frame as I didn't like the red and I'm not a fan of black or white.
The chap in PX did ask if I wanted him to make enquiries as to when the gloss black would be in stock but I declined saying that I wasn't after a black bike anyway.

I hope that your wait is not too long. The PX people couldn't have been more helpful if they had tried, when we went. Great service.

All three bikes were recommended as good value for money with a frame that was not cheap and nasty with skimped components. I really like the look of the carbon finish and I can afford one I'm never going to be more than an average rider. However if someone were to give me areally convincing argument for aluminium i might re-consider. Though so far in all but two of the lbs i have been in i have been less than convinced they know what they are talking about. I believe this guy when i asked if he could recommend another bike that was better value for money - he said not. Funnily enough a guy i know in Halfords said the same. I suppose i just want one too
It's not what the bike is made of that is important it's the engine that powers it. Unless your riding competitively where small savings might make a difference then the frame material is unimportant. I had no problem catching and passing a guy on a nice looking carbon bike on a 2km climb while I was on my aluminium framed road bike(even though I had already ridden 140km).
One caveat to my, buy what you fancy:thumbsup:.

Well I'm buying what I fancy - but thwarted at the last hurdle
PX no longer doing Gloss Black, Retro Blue sold out, so it looks like Pearl White for me then . . .

I now actually have a delivery date 3rd June. It's been a long wait. Apparently orders now are 6 weeks or more

did an excel spreadsheet and did a features, likes, dislikes comparison, had a good sit on them and also felt more comfortable on the planet x which had the best score too

Oh the small looks great in white.
Realistically, there is not a whole lot of room for a second bottle. It does say pretty clearly on the website that the small frame only has the one bottle mount.

Nice choice. Enjoy.

I recently got the pro carbon (SRAM version as it was cheaper and fancied using SRAM to see how they compare to Shimano) and I love it, got the medium frame so i have two bottle mounts but the one on the seat tube is very snug for a 750ml bottle.

Oh, by the way We changed the 11-28 cassette for an 11-32,not as extreme as you may think, 4 more teeth on biggest +3 on next, +2 on next, then +1, the other 7 the same. Needed medium mech and new longer chain. Makes hills easier for this old short bloke

That omission excluded the PX when I was looking for another bike. You can always fit side entry cages to small frames - as I have on my 7005SL Ribble, which has a 44 cm seat tube, and on my Rose which is also a small frame. On that PX you are going to have a struggle getting the bottle out and back in with the standard cage. I am using the Lezyne Flow side cages at the moment.

You can get these 'handed', unlike some other brands so you can access both bottles from the same side. You can also get a carbon version.
