To be honest barely a "nearly". The car has nosed out, glanced across, seen you .... which is why they've reversed back .... all before you were anywhere need close to the junction. Mountain out of a mole hill moment I'd say.

I quite often get drivers doing this - it's nice when they pull back and I'll always try to give a thank you. To me it's an example of a minor mistake, such as we all make from time to time, not usually worth uploading.

I never said it was a big deal, just wanted to share what turned out to be a positive "incident" rather than the usual negative ones.

But hey, sorry if I wasted 20 seconds of your precious internet browsing time. ;-)

I wonder if she checked her mirror to ensure there wasn't a cyclist behind her before she reversed?

I've said it a thousand times, if someone makes a mistake and holds there hand up in apology it diffuses most situations. It's the loons that nearly take you out and then give you the finger that sets me kicking off.

Forgive me if this seems a little rude, but this must be the biggest waste of time cycling video I've seen on this site (or Youtube). Can we delete the thread for being completely pointless? I know it's only 20 seconds (and I've spent longer typing this reply), but if you hadn't explained in the text what was going on, I doubt I'd have even noticed it. As 400bhp says, showing this (as if there's something to comment on) just reinforces the argument that camera users are desperately looking for any footage they can use to highlight what they think is poor driving. It's not even a -1 for the driver pulling out, you were miles away when she did and I think she could even be forgiven for that.

The OP was just highlighting an example of a motorist correcting a mistake and apologising. Nothing wrong with that at all.
