Anybody got a good recommendation for a pair of bottle cages. Ive had the cheap Evans cycles plastic cage and they have both broken due to the bottle snapping the bottom piece of plastic off.
Even thinking of going back to the cheap Aluminium cages as they are normally bomb proof.

Elite Ciussi. Best alloy cage by far. Use on my best bike and the commuter.

Ive got an original that must be 15 years old and the newer gel ones. Those are nearly 6 years old. Bottom line is they look good, work brilliantly and aren't heavy. If you need to adjust how tight they are just bend them slightly. Fit and forget and they stay looking good.

My vote goes to the Elite cages too. I had one on my hybrid for over a year. I liked it so much I bought one for my road bike too.

Defo look smart.

i was in a cycle shop in Manchester today and Brad Wiggins Pinnarello from Paris Roubaix was in the window, I've just looked at a picture i took and he had these cages on his bike so must be half decent.

They are widely used in the pro ranks. They grip bottles well, never had a bottle bounce out yet.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Tenn Flow and Zefal Spring seem good plastic cages. I dislike the Topeak Modula because it damages bottles rather easily. Anyone got a good side-entry cage?
The Lezyne Flow SL are the best side cages I've had, and they are handed, so you can specify which side (I recommend Pedal-Pedal around £12 pair). I'm waiting for couple of carbon ones from China at the moment - around £15 pair. Otherwise for standard cages I really like the Tacx Tao Ultralight (Polymide) around £8 from CRC.
