Hi all. Does anybody have experience using either or both types of dynamo who could compare them for me? I was initially attracted to the more efficient hub dynamo but there's not way I'm retrueing, tensioning or lacing my own wheel, my LBS is full of bandits who'd charge me so much I might as well buy a lifetime supply of replacement batteries and hellfords would probably do a worse job than I would.
The bottle dynamo however seems to have come along way all of a sudden:
^^^ £48.99 from SJS. Also the modern bottle has "neglibly more rolling resistance" than a hub (apparently) and, obviously, can be "switched off" so to speak. Can anybody offer me any more than the printed word of the salesman? Thanks.
