I quite accept and am happy that I have due notice of the highway code and fines or penalties that can be imposed under it.
Where is the due notice of a £130 fine imposed by a local authority?

no penalties or fines are imposed under the HWC, the HWC is not the law

Jeez, it's a good thing we don't have guns in the house if people are so obtuse that they need a sign to remind them not to be naughty.

t I did feel very agrieved as there was no way of progressing through the junction without doing so.

You are not supposed to enter the box unless you can be sure you can exit it without delay.

Highway Code:

"You MUST NOT enter the box until your exit road or lane is clear."

I know, and i paid the fine, but there are times when you honesty have no choice but to enter the junction. Driving in London is quite cut throat sometimes.
I could have sat at that junction for hours waiting for a space to arrive, the whole area was grid locked and the traffic to my left was under the control of a separate set of traffic lights and they just kept filing the space so that when my lights went green i had no where to go. This went on for a few phases until i had to enter the box junction. I didnt impede anyones exit as it was blocked beyond the box.

I assume all the drivers who were filling the space in front of you got fined too then... Those junctions are enough to make you lose hope, aren't they.

Please read the legislation at Paragraph 7, part III, Schedule 19, of The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002.
Prohibition conveyed by markings in diagram 1043 or 1044
7. (1) Except when placed in the circumstances described in paragraph 8, the road markings shown in diagrams 1043 and 1044 shall each convey the prohibition that no person shall cause a vehicle to enter the box junction so that the vehicle has to stop within the box junction due to the presence of stationary vehicles.

(2) The prohibition in sub-paragraph (1) does not apply to any person—

(a)who causes a vehicle to enter the box junction (other than a box junction at a roundabout) for the purpose of turning right; and

(b)stops it within the box junction for so long as it is prevented from completing the right turn by oncoming vehicles or other vehicles which are stationary whilst waiting to complete a right turn.
So the the black Honda is in the clear but the MG, Corsa & possibly the Renault are in hot water?..

The Corsa has pulled out in front of the Rover causing it to stop so it had nowhere to go even though it's lane is clear beyond the Corsa... the Corsa's at fault.

At fault? You mean violating road traffic regulations or breaking the law. Both the Corsa and Rover were blocking the junction but not turning right, meaning they were breaking the law. The Honda was turning right so legally in the box while stationary & potentially blocking another vehicle.

[QUOTE 3328519, member: 45"]So the Rover had entered the junction before the Corsa had got in his way, and was moving until the Corsa stopped him?[/QUOTE] given the size of the junction I doubt it.

That's the point, that could easily have happened- you can't tell, because it's a photograph not a video, so how could you possibly issue a fine on that basisi?

I am curious to know how the automatic cameras are activated... there may be situations where traffic is moving across the junction but if the camera was to take a photo, you couldn't tell the vehicles were moving?
they tried that one with me on a slow roll. except they were taken 5 seconds apart and did show movement. If I know I can't move clear before the lights change then I sit and wait outside
