Mam rode to work on a converted Sun moped. After the motor failed dad removed the tank, motor and ancillary moped parts leaving a heavy, slightly low geared bike with drum front brake and coaster brake. I learned to ride on it. So even now nearly 60 yrs later I'd happily use a coaster, but preferably on a lighter bike than that old 1950s moped.

had one of these as a teenager, you could get up to a good speed and do cracking rear-wheel skids…

can't remember what happened to mine; looked exactly like this but without the front fairing; this one seems also to have a calliper brake…
