Tricky thing brands. I used to buy Britool spanners where possible but in the 90's or 2k's they went reallly downhill so avoid them now. Paradoxically they are now owned by Facom who use Britool name for their cheap stuff yet Facom branded stuff is really good.

Lindstrom - for everything pliers related.

Festool for power tools -brutally expensive, and some of the extras are frankly a piss take, and yet once you've pony'd up for the first tool, everything else seems shoddy.

Hilleberg tent- agains scarily expensive bit awfully good. Now got two - cripes I could have bought a 2nd hand camper van or stayed in the hilton for a month ( ok a fortnight)

And of course for a gentleman-dandy such as myself Crockett & Jones shoes, though mine have all been 2nds or 2nd hand. Northampton made Loakes are better value, lovely as the Crocketts may be. Not owned Churchs but they don't seem in the same class, despite the hype and cost
