I think that might work but it would need someone to hang around most of the day except whilst I was sleeping.

The OP wanted some tips for strengthening up helping posture (form/technique). Nobody ever mentioned bulking up fossy - calm down!

Any form of basic rowing movement will heavily involve the middle fibres of the trapezius which, along with the rhomboid, is the 'prime mover' in shoulder girdle retraction. Focus on ephasising the retraction at the end of the movement.

I also find that using the wide bar from a pulldown and using a wide grip with strict form takes your lats out of the equation to an extent
