Plenty of ways to avoid ads. I use a plugin called uBlock Origin with Firefox, but if you prefer Google Chrome, try Brave Browser.

I use ublock - works well
I do disable it for CycleChat - because the site needs to earn some money to run it somehow
and NOT because Temu and others seem to think I am likely to buy sexy female underware and so keep bunging up adverts for it!!!!!
I have also emails a few newspaper - mostly small ones - saying that I tried disabling it to support them
then enabled it again as the ads just make the site so slow and jumpy that it is unusable!
Ha! I get those as well and I honestly aren't looking at them.
As it happens the current line of adverts at top of page are for bib tights as I was looking at those yesterday. Cycle exchange another one that gets put up there as again I've been checking out bikes there.
I however, have not searched for sexy undies. Honest guv.

Straddle the line, discord and rhyme
IKR. Watched some of his other recent vids (I was on a long bus ride, don't judge me). Highlights include:
- Shouting at people jumping the ticket barrier on the tube.
- Shouting at ebike food delivery riders for riding on the pavement.
- Desperately trying to attract the interest of the police by repeatedly pointing at a car which had gone through the advanced stop zone and stopped about a foot over the line.

No shade thrown. I did the same on my way home last night and I suspect we've watched a few of the same videos.
At least he's stopped dishing out red cards, although does seem to be styling himself after Terminator/Predator rather than a referee, which is just as odd.

I couldn't be arsed wasting a few minutes of my life watching the video. Did he call Vine a 'cycle nonce'?
Hard to tell as most of what he said was bleeped out.

Vine made a signal but cut across the guy without looking again and the guy exploded. We dont know what he said to Vine as it was one 'Bleep' after another!

all I know in confrontations like that, its rarely the specific incident at hand that causes it, thats probably an accumulation of incidents on that guys ride, maybe accumulation over days worth, and Vine is just the unlucky recipient of his venting, largely because he is there and a target to shout at, whereas most incidents the other party has driven off and youre left stewing in your anger about it, which doesnt really dissipate.doesnt condone it, makes the other guy look like a complete idiot, and I dread to think what the tabloid reaction to it would have been if he'd unleashed like that towards a driver on a school run, or pedestrian just mistakenly stepping out on the road, there have been cases where the police charged a cyclist who swore at a driver, the driver basically reported them in a tit-for-tat like setup as theyd been reported for close passing, and the police used the cyclists own submitted footage as evidence against them, so it doesnt pay to go full Roger Mellie sweary cyclist for sure.

The weight of cameras attached to his bike eventually had enough mass to influence gravity and about a week later collapsed into its own black hole.
Terrible way to go.
