The British Museum's website says :

"There are bike racks inside the Museum gates on Great Russell Street."

Does anyone know them? Are there enough of them? Would you feel happy leaving your bike there?

I'm planning to visit later this week and am weighing up taking the bike.

I've left my bike there several times without aproblem. if full you'll find somewhere nearby. I'm happy to leave my bike anywhere in central London during the daytime with ahalf decent lock and have been doing so for16 years.
(Two bikes nicked when left overnight in the Walthamstow bad lands many years ago though)

Looking at other bikes in central London a year or so ago, it seemed to me saddles were at risk, so I would take it with you.

Agree about leaving the Brooks at home - the British Museum might want it as an exhibit.

Losing a saddle - even an old one - would be a nuisance, so you could take a cafe lock to make a loop through the saddle rail to whatever main lock you are using.
