When I was a sprog we used to find those wooden bombs washed up on the beach. Uncle who had been RAF rescue launch skipper told us they were from floating flares.
Can't stand her. She might be funny but I don't know as her voice grates on me so much I can't watch her.
My FiLaw found Dads Army really funny (as I still do).......he was wounded twice and captured by the Japanese but could still zee the humour in that prog.

Actually, I occasionally cycle past where Bob Olley's Studio is/was. It had not occurred to me that I have not noticed the sign recently. Just checked on Google, he is still around, so, I will have to be more observant next time I pass.
