I too haven't a clue who she is. Her death has no bearing on my sense of well being and I have little capacity to mourn for all and sundry.

I'm bewildered by the outpourings of grief and condolences for dead people who have no direct or indirect connection with those who offer their sympathies.

Having looked up who she is/was I am still none the wiser.

I would agree to a degree, but some posters are a little closer to the experience than others and it can awaken all sorts of feelings, even when you don't know the person involved.
