In June, I'm going on a week's holiday with some of the women from my cycling group - we've booked somewhere to stay a few kms south of St Malo and the plan is to have a week of gentle cycling, eating and sightseeing.

Just wondering if anyone's got any recommendations of places to visit or avoid?

Mont St Michel is probably worth a look, but dear oh lord it's a tourist trap...
That's as far as I've gone into Brittany.

Travelling west out of st malo ,I went through saint brieuc with its lovely market then round to binic lovely ice cream parlour and great beach ,then around the coast to pampol twinned with my local town, then south to guingamp then stayed at a gite in bourbriac,a bit of a tour but great country side
Also have gone north from st malo, through arvanches, to Granville ,great town stayed here in a friends flat,in the old Jewish quarter by the casino,I really love this town, then you can head north again great scenery we went right through to Cherbourg along the coast via portail and market town of bricquebec

Just about everywhere is worth visiting. Love the little towns around there, really pristine and pretty.

As above, Dinan, Cancale and G-g-g-Granville are worth a visit.
I'd recommend checking when market day is for anywhere you want to go - it's always more animated and fun!
