BB, you're still welcome to borrow my turbo if you want. There was precious little of you before the accident. If you've suffered muscle wastage since, I'm gonna have problems finding you.

Benblip...blip..blip...blip..?

You can't keep a good race horse down Andy! Happy New Year Ben and may your convalescence carry on apace!

Cheers guys! I might take you up on the offer of the turbo Andy, my legs are disappearing and I've got enough strength in my arm to heft a trainer out of sight before Vicky gets home.

Glad to hear you're getting better Ben. Don't forget that I still have your turbo which you lent me.
Let me know when you want it back and I'll jump on a train/bus and bring it over

Ben, do you think you'll be up for the Cheam and Morden 50 in early March?

I've put on 5lbs in 10 days so I'll be ascending like a giant slug.

But think how you'll descend O! ( Although I now have a comedy vision of a slug on a bike, descending like a demon, eyes literally on stalks. It's all going quite well until the stalks start to flap in the breeze.) I really want to get to the Hilly 50 but won't be able to do the ride itself as I'm working that day. I'm thinking of doing an early morning recce of the route and meeting people at the start and then making my way back to London.

Cheers redjedi, as it's quite a schlep from your neck of the woods to mine I'll take up Andy's offer and then pop round to you when I'm more mobile if that's ok? It looks like you might get some more use out of it considering current conditions.

That's a shame - will hopefully see you at the start, Ben. Although, if the roads are still salty come March, this giant slug will have real problems...

What's more, I am bringing a tow rope in case MacB struggles on the steeper sections (I won't do the towing mind you, I'll leave that to Aperitif) - luckily his odd handlebar configuration is perfect for towing...

Hay hay, leave the 'heavy horses' alone, Origamist you bugger! Myself and MacB may have the souplesse of a lung fish, but at least we don't snap when we cuddle tarmac (as I discovered just before Xmas:sad:).

Glad to hear you're on the mend ben.
