I was wondering if anyone here can help me.

A honeysuckle tree that grows against my neighbour's wall has blown down in the winds yesterday.

It was previously secured with simple string on a nail and I'm surprised it has lasted this long using that method to be honest but yesterdauy's wind blew the thing over - see photos below.

Does anyone have any ideas on how we could stand it up again and ensure its survival? I'm pretty confident that I could stand it up and secure it to the wall somehow but I don';t know whether anything needs to be done to the trunk where it has split - any help appreciated.

The trunk may heal, but I'd get some of the nail in plant supports (you can whack them in the mortar) then tie it up carefully.
