Didn't @redfalo, or possible @CharlieB, have a hard flight case for a Brompton that converted to a trailer? I'd have thought that was slightly more practical.

I have this trailer, and it's utterly brilliant.

I'd be more interested in borrowing/hiring the trailer than the carry-case. @StuartG - if you need something for a few days in the summer, why not have a chat to an eminent journalist?
