So I got a titanium seatpost for my Brompton but it goes in with a lot of friction and is hard to raise and lower, much more so than the old steel one. I was thinking of getting silicone spray-on lubricant to help it along, but what do you guys think? I obviously don't want to make the wrong choice and end up ruining some part of my Brommie.

I do not think you should lubricate the seatpost. I would wash it with soap and water and make qmsure the seatpost clamp is not to tight to start with.

You should ask this question on a Brompton FB site.

As said above, don’t lube it! It will attract dirt and may not stay in place when riding. Clean and degrease it. Check your seat post clamp.

Barnet,
Good advice above.
Clean, and then put a thin film of grease on the post. Plus check the QR is opening far enough.
There is also a folding bike section on CC where you could ask the question.
