I've been trying to date this without much luck. Any idea where the frame number should be? It's a single speed and would have had a front dynonub I think. I would like to get as much info as I can before I decide to keep it or sell it on.

Yes I have checked all the obvious places but I havnt started sanding off paint yet!

I've finally found a serial number on the seat post. 6 numbers, no prefix/suffix
