Ah good idea just to throw it in the pannier. I did use a small Toppeak saddlebag for a while, but the mounting broke on a couple (one time silently - bye bye toolkit) and no longer trusted them.
for tools/punturekits spare tubes - clear plastic WHS pencil cases - big enough to get things in - small enough to tuck away where you can get at them easy - tough enough that they last for ages - cheap - and clear so (i cant remember why being clear is good
and just the right number (appropriate for whats on bike) of proper tools plus topeak tyre levers
Currently also just storing tools in a couple of plaggy bags, but the approach is beginning to irriate me with the bags spliting and tie-wraps poking thru any holes etc.
Any more elegant storage solution for the tools? Must be some tool wallet or somesuch available.
