The bike from inside a bus shelter - at Brae, Shetland, where I paused for some lunch.

Frankies in Brae is a good call for a meal.

Did you take advantage of any of the 'Cake Fridges' whilst you were in Shetland ?

Yes, I remember there was a good cake fridge on the road from Voe to Aith on the Westside (or should it be da Wastside?). Also enjoyed seeing old microwaves on poles by the roadside for selling eggs.

The cake fridges are a great idea; obviously, trust is placed on the buyer to pay for the goods and not abscond with the existing money, but the scheme seems to work very well. The ‘problem’ with them, is that i usually buy far more items than i can eat in one sitting .
