TBH i only expect dryers to use up to 2.5mm. The thought of anything bigger in diy hands is worrying. Luckily I dont have to worry about diyers much nowadays.

2.5mm T&E is ring main cable, 6mm for 30A cooker/shower circuits, and 10mm for 45A. T&E isn't used for appliance flex, because....it's not flexible.

Seen to many people try wiring cookers in 2.5mm, usually because they've seen a fan oven with a plug on. Then they wonder why their huge double oven or hob gets cables hot and blows fuses. So glad I dont do contracting anymore. YouTube has a lot to answer for with to many dodgy how to guides. Not just electrical either.
