So, perhaps stupidly, I just bought 3 pairs of Chorus 2014 levers from eBay for £10 each. I know what you're thinking, it's probably a scam. Well here's my reasoning.

If it's a scam, then the seller gets banned from Ebay and I get my £30 back because I am covered by Ebay's money back policy (paid via PayPal). So, in effect, I've helped someone else out there not get scammed!

It it's not a scam, well, there's money to be made...


Have you guys seen these ridiculously cheap listings before?

If it's a scam, don't assume you'll get your money back from those PayPal b'strds (has happened to me which is why I avoid PayPal as much as I can)

there was a full 105 group set listed on ebay recently for about £15, located in China. This is a scam, as the seller gets the money, the buyer (if possible) gets their money back from paypal.

Or they don't as was my experience, only the scammer seller and Paypal got their money...I got f-all

Yes. But when I looked closely at the pictures Shimano wasn't spelt correctly.

seller sends something wrong , will refund you if you post it back at your cost which in the case of china is liable to make it not worth sending back so you dont and as you havent returned it the seller is in the clear and pocket your cash .
