calling all BROOKS saddle cognoscenti.........FAKE..?

is this a Brooks ..?
the nameplate is not on the centre-line of the saddle = FAKE..?

i thought maybe an earlier model but [searching Google ] i cannot find a similar style nameplate anywhere
- even on this 'old' example

One of my old colts had something similar, maybe 70s or early 80s. Look at the copper topped proofhide tins, the logo looks close.

As for being off centre, my Swallow is 5mm off centre, not level and now has no black paint on it. It's not 12 months old!!

I've even got one with a plastic badge. That is a B5 which was a budget version of the B17 fitted as OE in the late 60s-early80s
