I have finished my Bristol Blenheim night fighter. Doesn't look great, but better than I feared. The Bristol Blenheim was unusual in that it had a semi-retractable gun turret. When retracted, the Blenheim went 20-30 mph faster. I wondered whether in night fighter mode the turret would be up or down. The gunner would have a better view when up, but the Blenheim was barely faster than the bombers it was supposed to hunt, specially with that four gun belly pod, so I decided to go for the semi-retracted turret.

I've just about finished this 2 meter R/C glider. A vintage design from 1968. Built from a plan.
Just need to install the receiver and battery, then balance it before it's maiden flight.

Actually, the first time it was the paint. It would not dry. I tried putting it in an oven at a low temperature, and it melted. The second time, I am not quite sure. There might have been a part missing. The third time I spent a lot of care and attention on the cockpit, but I still could not squeeze it between the wings and onto the fuselage. The cockpit is very pernickity on a Blenheim. I tried filing the gap out a bit, but I ended up filing out too much. I tried two different airfix models. One was a type 4 (I think) with an extended glasshouse, and I tried model by another manufacturer. Blenheims are cursed, I tell you.

That sounds like an Eduard 1/48 Lysander that I had, whatever I did there was a 2mm gap underneath when I tried to close it round the cockpit.

I tried everything to make it fit but it's back in the box waiting for one day.
