Taking the laptop is the easiest solution. That's what I did the last time I was in Majorca.

Hotel rooms almost always have a safe for valuables big enough to hold a laptop along with your money, tickets, passport etc. Wifi is usually available and free or cheap, but you don't even need that if you can just upload your card data straight onto your hardfile. Check out what's available in your hotel - there are a lot of specialist cycling hotels and they all have good facilities.

BTW, I'd recommend hiring a bike over there - so much less bother and not that much dearer than paying to take a bike with you. Good quality bikes are available and you need to book early.

I don't see the difficulty with taking a laptop and it's the simple solution. I understand theft would be a concern to some but other than making sure it wasn't left in sight I wouldn't worry about it. We always take a laptop away with us.

Would a tablet be a solution? Buy a large storage card, download to the tablet and then leave the tablet running to upload to Google, Onedrive, Dropbox or similar. All our tech is set to cloud backup every 24 hours with photos instantly when WiFi is available. I haven't tried a tablet but a laptop does this very simply.
